Laval Award Minority award based exclusively on academic achievement. Renewable based on 2.5 QPA. $6,500 University Aid Application required; need document recommended.
President's Award Based exclusively on academic achievement. Renewable based on 3.00 QPA. $4,000 University Aid Application required; need document recommended.
ROTC Award Based on academic achievement and ROTC Scholarship award. Renewable based on 3.00 QPA, renewal of ROTC award and on-campus residence. Varies University Aid Application required; need document recommended. Must be dormitory resident.
Pittsburgh/Greensburg Catholic High School Graduates' Discount Available to graduates of Roman Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Greensburg who enroll as full-time students in the fall semester immediately following their graduation. May not receive any other university-funded award. 10% of basic tuition per year University Aid Application required; need document recommended. Must continue to be enrolled full-time during academic years following initial year of enrollment.
Vincentian Academy/Duquesne University Graduates' Discount Available to graduates of Vincentian Academy/Duquesne University who enroll as full-time students in the fall semester immediately following their graduation. May not receive any other university-funded award. 25% of basic tuition per year University Aid Application required; need document recommended. Must continue to be enrolled full-time during academic years following initial year of enrollment.

Tamburitzan Grant-In-Aid Based on audition with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. Renewable upon recommendation of the Tamburitans. Varies As determined by the Duquesne University Tamburitzans
Athletic Grant-In-Aid Based on athletic ability. Renewable upon recommendation of the Athletic Department. Varies up to full tuition, fees, room, board and books. As determined by the Duquesne University Athletic Department
Music Scholarship Based on the audition with the School of Music. Must be enrolled in the School of Music. Renewable upon recommendation of the School of Music. Varies As determined by the Duquesne University School of Music
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) Based on exceptional need as defined by the U.S. Department of Education. Renewable based on need and funding. Preference to Federal Pell Grant Recipients Varies with need and available funding University Aid Application and need document required. Must also apply for Federal Pell and State Grants.
Federal Perkins Loan Program Long-term loans, currently at 5% interest rate, available to students who demonstrate need. Renewable based on need and funding. Undergraduate or Graduate. Federal Nursing Loan Program Long-term loans, currently at 5% interest rate, available to undergraduate Nursing students who demonstrate need. Renewable based on need and funding. Federal Health Professions Loan Program Long-term loans, currently at 5% interest rate, available to undergraduate Pharmacy students who demonstrate need. Renewable based on need and funding. Federal College
Work-Study Program/ General Employment Program
Part-time employment available to students who demonstrate need. May work 15 hours per week during the academic periods and full-time during vacation periods. Undergraduate or Graduate. May earn up to $2,318 at current minimum wage rate. University Aid Application and need document required. Must also apply for Federal Pell and State Grants.
Federal Pell Grant Available to undergraduates who qualify under formula established by the Federal Government Students enrolled at least half-time may receive a partial grant. Varies with program funding. May apply using a need analysis document. Federal Pell Grant application or Pennsylvania State Grant application.
Pennsylvania State Grant (PHEAA) Pennsylvania residents who demonstrate need. Must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates. For renewal must complete 24 credits each year and meet all other requirements. $200-$3,300 PHEAA Grant application filed by May1.

Federal Stafford Loan Requires at least half-time enrollment. Based on financial need. Undergraduate or Graduate. Varies with class level and need. Applications available through banks, credit unions and other lending institutions. University Aid application and need document required. Must also apply for Federal Pell and State Grants.
Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan Requires at least half-time enrollment. Interest must be paid while enrolled. For students who do not qualify for any or all of Federal Stafford Loan. Undergraduate or Graduate. Varies with class level. Applications available through banks, credit unions and other lending institutions. University Aid application and need document required. Must also apply for Federal Pell and State Grants.
Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) Available to parents of dependent undergraduate students. Must be enrolled at least half-time. Repayment begins 60 days after funds are disbursed. Varies with class level. Applications available through banks, credit unions and other lending institutions.
Miscellaneous Scholarships Students are advised to contact local social and fraternal organizations, and parents' employers or unions for information on the availability of funds. Varies. Varies.
